I have finaly conceded defeat and returned to Evernote 4, I have given Evernote 5 a good couple of Months to try to get used to it but I am afraid that it just does not cut the mustard.

 

The reason for this reversion is:

 

The loss of the favorites bar which means having to scroll to the Notebooks root folder to do a notebook search.

The same problem with tags.

This was so easy before in 4 with both accesible from the favorites bar.

The loss of colour from the folder window.

The loss of the different colour icons for syncronised and local notebooks.

The loss of the coloured stack icon. 

Selecting a notebook in the search window no longer highlites the notebok in the left folders panel.

 

Please replace this functionality in V5 so I can again enjoy the fantastic product that Evernote 4 was in the latest version.

Another Anoyance:

The forced gap between the text and the top of the note page ( there was not gap in V4).

Alt+Shift+N (doesn't use the left panel)

The same problem with tags.

Alt+Shift+T (also doesn't use the left panel)
