(Archived) Clipping pages from a secure website

Hi, I'm a new evernote user.  I've been trying to clip whole pages from a secure website that I'm required to log into.  Unfortunately all I seem to be able to clip is the background.  No text, no nothing.  I've tried installing and reinstalling the web clipper but it hasn't helped.  Seems to work with non-secure pages.  Is this a known behavior?  Is it likely to occur on other secure pages as well?

I've been using the Evernote Windows Clipper for a couple years.

No problems capturing info from secure sites such as my credit card sites, utility companies, my bank, etc.

Using Safari window clipper here, but on a site that sometimes doesn't play nicely with Safari, though I haven't had problems lately.
