(Archived) Where is Evernote Helper?

I see numerous references to Evernote Helper but can't find it or get it to run. I have checked the "Keep Evernote running...Show elephant icon..." in Preferences but it never appears.  I am running 5.07 under Mac OS 10.6.8. Is Helper not included with the free version?

Evernote Helper is simply the elephant icon on your top menu bar of your computer screen. It is available in the free version.

No, I don't see it even though I have checked "Keep Evernote running..." in preferences. Should the app be in "Startup options" in Mac 10.6.8 system preferences?

The helper should always be running when Evernote is running (regardless of the system preferences).

I too have no Evernote Helper appearing in the menu bar.

All settings within my Evernote prefs would have have it visble and usable.. yet this is not so.

I would contact support for this issue. We haven't been able to reproduce it in-house.
