wsp 11 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Two small questions about the UI of the public notebooks:(1) Will it be possible in the future to select between a list of notes and thumbnails? The latter are far less useful for text notes than for photos.(2) Is it likely that a full list of tags (perhaps in a column on the left) will be ever be visible? The present list of tags associated with a particular note is a step in the right direction, but a full list would enhance the power of Evernote on the Web considerably.
engberg 89 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Thanks for the feedback. We're revisiting the appearance of our Public Notebooks as part of our efforts to improve Sharing and Collaboration (from Phil's New Years email). I don't have specifics yet, but thanks for the input.
wsp 11 Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Thanks for the quick response. While we're on the subject, I have a couple of more thoughts about the public notebooks:I would like to be able to order the notes alphabetically by note title; right now a date-of-creation sequence seems to be the only possibility. And I would really like some options on the font. I find the default sans serif exceptionally ugly (though I suppose some may admire it) and would prefer to use the default font I have specified for that notebook on my own computer (assuming that it is a standard Windows/Mac font).
tsomo 0 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Another suggestion for public notebooks:I would like to be able to put my public notebook or books under an alias or anonymous type name. For example, I might like to share a notebook about MBTI resources, but not have everyone who know's my name or evernote ID realize that I am a big MBTI geek. Even if I didn't use my name as my base, I don't want to have to use the same alias with different notebook demographics (e.g., computer science notebook for co-workers, and knitting notebook for hobbyist knitters). However, as ME, I want ALL my notes in one base, of course.Does this make sense? For example:Let's say my username is "HieronymusBosch". If I wanted to have public notebooks for MyNightmarishVisions and one for my collection of SweetLovableKittens, they'd be at: http://www.evernote.com/pub/HieronymusB ... ishVisions http://www.evernote.com/pub/HieronymusB ... bleKittensHowever, I don't necessarily think I want the fans of my nightmarish vision art to realize my true love of sweet, sweet lovable kittens. It might undermine my street cred, if you know what I mean. So I'd rather have them under: http://www.evernote.com/pub/HieronymusB ... ishVisions http://www.evernote.com/pub/hbunny/SweetLovableKittensWhat say you, oh internets?
