(Archived) HTC Touch Dual "Touch Keypad" - numbers only

For some odd reason, in the log-in screen on my HTC Touch Dual, when using the Touch Keypad, I am only allowed to enter numerals and symbols. No letters can be entered. I have to change to another text entry (letter recogniser) method to bring up letters to enter my login details.

This doesn't happen in the new text note screen. (touch keypad works fine here)

Thanks for the report. If you go to the "Notes" page and attempt to enter a search query, does that enter correctly, or do you also see numeric digits?

Yes it happens in the search dialogue box too.

Switch the text input option to the keyboard. The Touch Keyboard and Touch Pad do not work.

Found that workaround mostly by necessity.

I have noticed though, when creating a new text note, that the body of the text uses the Touch Keypad just fine, it's only when editing the title that the touchpad doesn't work (i.e. generates numbers only).
