Can't seem to make a sub-tag in Evernote 5?

Hi,

I tried searching but can't find the answer to my question in the forums.

I am unable to make a sub-tag in Evernote 5 for Mac. Is there something I am missing?

BTW my version is 5.0.4

You can create tags from the Tags icon in the Sidebar. Then just drag one tag onto another.

I have created sub-tags previously for all of my main tags. Today, I wanted to create a new main tag and then add sub-tags. I created the main tag (Methods & Tools) and then a couple of sub-tags. I've tried dragging these tags onto my new main tag to create a sub-tag, but it doesn't work.

However, I can drag them to one of my previously created main tags and they become sub-tags without any fuss.

 

I'm using version 6.0.3 on a MacBook Pro (late 2013).

Yes, that is a bug that already has been reported in an earlier post. You first need to create a note with the tag that you want to use as sub-tag. Then you will be able to drag it into another tag.
