(Archived) ✔ Unable to do quick search for tags starting with punctuation marks like "." and "!"

Hello Evenote Community!

Since the Evernote 5 update on my Mac, I have got some problems searching for tags that I have highlighted with starting punctuation like "." and "!" and "@" .

I am using these to highlight certain main tag groups I use to manage my projects, contexts, priorities to use Evernote as my GTD mothership.

The methodology for organizing my tags is very similar to the one outline on http://www.thesecretweapon.org/ .

Before, when I typed in "@" into the tag search field, all my context tags have shown up, this is not working now.

Any chances this option would come back with a fix or this was intentional?

I will need to change from the App Store version for that I think. Are there any pit falls in that?

If you don't have any local (unsynced) notebooks, you should be fine. You can get the latest version direct from Evernote by following this link: http://evernote.com/evernote/index.php?file=EvernoteMac Just download that, quit everything Evernote related (including the toolbar helper) and overwrite the App Store version.
