(Archived) Unable to find Sync server since Evernote 5 upgrade?

Since upgrading to 5.0 yesterday, Evernote on my Mac seems to sync, but I always get a message saying:

Synchronization Failure

Evernote is unable to connect with the Evernote Service. This may be due to a network problem or service maintenance. Please try again later. If enabled, automatic synchronization will resume once the Service becomes available.

Anyone know how to cure this?

Before going back to v4 on the iPad, I was getting this message several times while using the native "Clip to Evernote" function in Zite, the personalized magazine app. Sometimes it would work, other times it wouldn't. The message came from the Evernote servers, though, not Zite. Try again a minute later, and it would often work.

I haven't actually tried it since going back to ENv4, but I suspect that it's nothing to do with the new version of Evernote - perhaps it's just their servers getting overloaded?
