mrgoerend 89
What did I do wrong? I put the tag at the end of the subject. Can I only do tags that already exist? Link to comment
spg SCOTT 736
Hi mrgoerend,Yes, the tags (and notebooks) must already exist in your Evernote account for them to be added when you email a note into Evernote. Some more information:https://support.evernote.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=547&hitOffset=428+417+404+347+312+270+252+239+230+226+211+193+174+141+136+125+97+88+81+68+54+44+24+14+6&docID=23766A key paragraph:Note that both the notebook designation and the tags appear at the end of the subject. Also, any notebook or tags added to the email subject must already exist in your Evernote account. Using the above example: assuming you didn't already have a tag "baking" in your Evernote account, the title of the note would contain "#baking" once it arrived in your Evernote account and that tag will not be applied. If you designate a non-existent notebook in the email subject, the note will be added to your default notebookScott Link to comment
mrgoerend 89
Thanks. That's too bad. Wish we could create tags via email. Link to comment
