(Archived) Adding pdf to EN

If I have an open pdf on my desktop, how can I quickly add it to EN? Right click functions ("add to EN") aren't available. Same for jpg files. Thanks!

Which operating system and applications are you using? Some applications would allow you to copy and paste the current image into Evernote, or possibly drag-and-drop (especially on the Mac).

Other applications (like Adobe Reader for PDFs) don't necessarily give an easy way to get the open PDF file out of their app and into ours without saving it first.

I don't think they give any good way to pass the open file to another application directly from the app without saving it first, unfortunately.

If you set up an Evernote AutoImport folder, you can then click the "Save a Copy" button on the Adobe Reader toolbar and save it to your AutoImport folder. That would save a few steps.

Great idea, Carl. I need to set up an autoimport folder for adding scan files to EN as well. Thanks!
