jmpsfs 23
I'm using Firefox clipper 5.0.0.177572 with Firefox 7.0.1 and just turned on the option to save clips to the local installation, rather than to the web. However, each clipping brings Evernote into focus on top of Firefox, which is not the performance I'm looking for -- my preference is that it behave like it does under the clip-to-web setting, by giving me a polite notice that the clipping was successful and letting me go about my business. Dim memory tells me we had this discussion a while back about another version. Is there a setting to make the clipper behave the way I want? If not, I'd like to put in a feature request. jbignert 473
@jmpsfsThere are options for this on Mac. Go to preferences > clipping tab and then uncheck the correct box abd you should not see each new note. Link to comment
jmpsfs 23
I'd missed the options BUT they seem to have no effect in my case. The setting was to bounce the dock icon, but instead it opened EN in the foreground, which was already deselected. I changed the choice to "play a sound" and it still opens EN in the foreground. Note that I am using the newest Firefox release, 7.0.1, which could have some impact, but I would like to go back to the notification box. Link to comment
Julius 0
I can confirm that! All the boxes are unchecked and the Firefox Clipper still brings Evernote to the foreground. Running Mac OS X 10.7.1, Evernote 3.0.2 RC 2 and Firefox 7.0.1 Link to comment
mrolfer 0
I am having the same issue. Same system config Link to comment
jbignert 473
Moving this topic to Web forum. Just to confirm - you want an option for clipping from Firefox and not bringing the application / new note window to the front after every clip? Link to comment
jmpsfs 23
Yes, but for clipping to the desktop installation. It works fine when clipping to the web, so the thread probably belongs here. Link to comment
