Apple have implemented a rather dinky feature in the Lion version of Mail.
The user can navigate through the items in the Favorites Bar using cmd+n (with n being a number starting at 1). The user can also send the selected email to an item on the Favorites Bar by using ctrl+cmd+n.

If you implement this feature I will be able to:
- roll out Evernote across 10s of thousands of users in my organisation
- go Premium
- renew Premium
- not cancel Premium
- etc ad nauseum
