(Archived) New version processing dies

This morning I installed and tried to restart the latest mac version of Evernote, but it is hanging, then becoming totally unresponsive:

Is it my fault, or Evernote's?

Oddly, this problem seems to have resolved itself after several attempts/reloads/restarts.

Same problem here. After killing the process and trying about 4 more time I finally gave up on the upgrade. As a resolution, I used AppZapper to uninstall Evernote, then I downloaded and installed the latest version. Works fine now.

Also, the "send report" dialog doesn't dismiss when i hit send, so i don't know if it's going through or not.

Downloading the full installer and installing over the borked installation works fine. No app zap required.

Same problem here, hangs and is completely unresponsive. Report screen doesn't seem to send report, either. I'm on a new model Macbook Pro. Tried deleting and reinstalling, no luck, same issues.

I was stuck on the same thing. Restarted computer, same thing. Force quit Evernote and restarted a few times, suddenly it started processing.

After finishing all my notes are there, but I'm not sure they've actually been processed properly, because auto zoom is broken.

Edit: What I meant to say was that I don't know if auto zoom is simply broken in this version, or if it's because of the processing issues that it doesn't work anymore.

Seems you need to make sure you have the default Python v2.6 (from Apple).

I had upgraded to Python v2.7 for my own development purposes.

From what I am guessing, it was ***** up with Evernote "conversion processing" Python scripts.

Try to revert back to previous version of Python (python26-apple) for OSX 10.6 (snow leopard) in my case.
