Where is the blue plus sign?

I'm trying to attach photos (never done this before) and I can't locate the blue + that is indicated. Any clues? I'm on a Mac.

 

Also, I'm not able to drag a photo directly from Google Photos? I'm having to download the photo to my desktop and then drag into a note. Is there a trick to getting photos directly out of Google Photos into my note?

Hi.  If you create a new note,  or click inside an existing one,  the edit toolbar will appear,  including the blue "+".  

While you can share images on a mobile device direct to Evernote,  you'd need to view an image in Google Photos and then use Evernote Clipper to send the image to a note.
