ARNeto 3
Currently, when using the functionality of copy a note to a specific notebook (menu Note / Copy to...), we end up with a copy where the creation date of the new note is the same as the copied one. It seems better that the creation date should be the current date, when the new note was actually created. Link to comment

Mainly other users around here, and we each have our own workflows - honestly I hadn't thought much about it; but it seems reasonable that if you 'copy' something, you get a 100% actual copy. The updated date has changed, because you just created a new instance of that note. But the original was created at a different time... Actually, to have a note created repeatedly with the same content but at different times and dates, you might be better off with a template... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001929488-Create-your-own-templates 1 Link to comment

Or if the limitations of templates are a problem (e.g no tags) you could export the note as an enex being careful to not export the creation date. When youi double click the enex file the new note is created with the current date as creation date. You can also just drag and drop the enex file into the corect notebook if that helps. Also changing the creation date to today is (for V10) fairly easy 1 Link to comment

Before v10, the behavior was correct. Where can we post an issue for Evernote? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,057 Posted June 18 Level 5* Share Posted June 18 Send feature requests to feedback@evernote.com (you get a 'thankyou' response but nothing further) or raise this with Support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - (be very patient for a response here) In general: it's far better to send feature requests and minor bug reports via feedback. With millions of users, Evernote can't keep individuals in the loop for bug fixes or possible future developments - if and when your issue is resolved it will come as part of a future update. Support is meant for major issues like access and subscriptions. Link to comment
