(Archived) Any way to turn off Stacks?

Yeah, I'm a party pooper. Is there any way to turn off Stacks?

In my local Windows, dragging notes at an angle from lower right to upper left to a new Notebook occasionally cause 2 notebooks to create an unwanted stack.

I don't use stacks, so I'd like to turn it off.

Not looking for anything like a re-write, just maybe something behind the scenes.

Hm, I can't think of any way to prevent that action (dragging a notebook and dropping it on a different notebook) from creating a stack, unfortunately. Maybe if you just put all of your notebooks in a single master stack, since you can't have stacks of stacks. Then, the drag gesture won't do anything.

Dave, thanks for the creative solution. The "super stack" concept works.

That is what I like about Evernote. It is so flexible, that out-of-the-box thinking frequently creates solutions.
