Search not finding everything

I haven’t been using Evernote a lot for the last couple of years. Today I wanted to find a note using the search in the iOS app. 

Many search terms didn’t find anything. I went to the tag section in the app. There I found a tag with let’s say 40 tagged items under. Pressed that tag, but no notes were showed up, and the message “no notes found” was shown. 

I currently don’t subscribe to Evernote, but I must be able to use search, right?
