Where to start? On top of all the existing bugginess now unable to add new notes...

Often a bunch of issues is related to a corrupted local database.

Log out of your account, quit the app. Now use the app AppCleaner to remove the existing install. Restart the Mac. Download the latest version from the EN website, open, log in.

Should do now online. For offline mode keep the app open for a while in the background - it needs to create a new local database from the server.
