vlmay1955 0
I am trying to share a note link to a non-Evernote user, via the "share link" option. The person I'm sharing to is using IOS. When he received it and clicks on it, he's told he has to download Evernote, when he goes to download it he's told he has to pay for Evernote. Is this the only way I can share? The recipient has to pay? Link to comment
Boot17 1,467
No - you can share a note via a web link and they don't even need to have Evernote installed and can just view the note in a browser. Just copy and paste the shareable link to him instead of "Inviting someone". In addition, even if you did invite him to collaborate and edit the note, they can still use the Free version (more of a trial now) which limits you to just one notebook and 50 notes. But as far as I have heard, the shared notebooks and notes don't count against the one notebook and 50 note limit. They don't have to pay to view or collaborate on a shared note. 1 Link to comment
Mike P 2,668
I suspect that this may be heavy handed marketing making it look as though you need to have an account even though you don't. 1 Link to comment
