Lost public access to all notebooks shared via public links

Idea

For weeks I have been trying to get a satisfactory answer to my questions (submitted via several tickets to Evernote Support) about having lost any ability to access all of the notebooks that I have shared via Public Links using a prior version of Evernote. These notebooks have been shared and accessible for 5+ years, and voila, they vanished from public being able to access the Notes in these Notebooks. Notes and Notebooks still exist in my Evernote for PC and my iOS devices. The Public Link URLs just don't load anything, just have a blank webpage. I tried to change the URL of one of the affected Notebooks using Evernote Legacy 6.25.3.9348 that I ahve on old Windows 10 PC but that yields same issues.

Did Evernote remove this feature totally? Would a different subscription level (I have been subscriber since 2012, now Professional level) restore these features? Evernote tech support doesn't seem to be interested in helping me solve my problems or answer my questions. Just boilerplate responses that are N/A and then they immediately close the tickets. So I'm finally posting here in the Forums for the first time. Thanks for any guidance anyone can provide, even if it's bad news... -Will

There is a more than simple explanation: You can’t share notebooks by public link any more.

This was removed 3 years ago - maybe some older links continued to work.

Notebooks can only be shared to defined, known recipients now.

If you want to publicly share, take a look at postach.io

Thanks so much! for your reply! Wow, I don't ever recall reading any of Evernote's communications that they were totally getting rid of this feature. I knew that a Legacy version was need to maintain, but that's it. I'll look into postach.io. Thanks again.

Yes, I have since seen that, having been directed to it after losing the public access. Legacy for Windows still gives the share public link option for notes and notebooks.... Just not accessible at the designated URLs anymore...

Legacy is by no means sustainable any longer. The older legacy clients are already not syncing any more. I expect the newer to follow soon.

You can still publicly share individual notes. Looking at how much information a single note can hold, it’s maybe a question of changing the way you organize your content.
