Exporting ENEX files

I'm trying to export an .enex markup file costing 1762 notes. So far it's taken over 3 hours. There is no timeline so I have no idea how far along it is. I exported smaller files that took seconds. Is this considered a large file and is it normal to take several hours? I'm afraid to stop it and start over if it's almost done.

Update: I solved the issue by exporting 100 files at a time. Took all evening, but I've successfully transferred all my Evernote files to Joplin.

Hmmn.  Device?  OS?  Evernote version?  Do you have a fast network connection?  -And how exactly did you initiate this export?
