Dave Edwards 244
It is pretty common for people to keep their vacation pictures somewhere in the cloud. They join hundreds of other pictures and are never easy to find when you need them most. But there’s a better way using Evernote. https://daveedwardsmedia.com/2023/10/09/keep-travel-memories-in-evernote/ Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,170 Posted October 9, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted October 9, 2023 Dave, on this I don‘t agree with you: EN is no good to keep photos, at least not for the purpose you describe. All major players today have Photos apps that allow to organize content in an album. They support tagging pictures, and they use advanced functions (AI-based in most cases) to build a search catalogue. I can enter „Church“ in my Apple Photo library search, an d I get all sorts of churches: From the picture content, from text in the pictures, from location data, from manually applied tags etc. Another thing missing is access to metadata: The EXIF information holds a ton of details that help to categorize photos. And there is no editing capability at all, including missing conversion for some modern picture formats, and no RAW support. An album can easily be presented, the system will even offer background music and make the picture flow look professional and nice. EN is great to plan, support and archive travel information. But I would not extend this use to pictures. 2 Link to comment
