login window wont close despite being logged in

Hi

I was just prompted to upgrade evernote and then logged in

however after i sign in successfully the login window doesnt close? pressing red X doesnt work either.

Hmmn.  Looks like something went wrong.  I'd suggect using something like AppCleaner to remove all traces of your prior installations,  then download the latest version from https://evernote.com/download and reinstall.  Your existing notes will be converted into a new format but the old database will remain as it currently is as backup.
