Stephen CM 5
We know that Evernote has been bought by Bending Spoons. They know that Evernote has recently has an appalling series of software problems/issues. Can we please, on behalf of the 200 odd million users, be given some colour on what is going to happen to this product? I have been a paid subscriber for over a decade, Radio silence from the new owners is a concern. Please keep us in touch with your plans, (ideally which allows us to use V 7.14 which puts V 10 to shame) Thanks Link to comment

We look forward to the continued pursuit of that vision with you, our customers and partners, now as part of Bending Spoons. Quote https://evernote.com/blog/moving-the-evernote-center-of-operations-to-europe/ Our plans for Evernote are as ambitious as ever: Going forward, a dedicated (and growing) team based in Europe will continue to assume ownership of the Evernote product. This team will be in an ideal position to leverage the extensive expertise and strength of the 400-plus workforce at Bending Spoons, many of whom have been working on Evernote full-time since the acquisition. Depends where you look... 1 Link to comment
0 Boot17 1,539
There is this https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-pricing-upcoming-features-update/ from April that gives some insight into the overall direction. Also this more recent https://evernote.com/blog/moving-the-evernote-center-of-operations-to-europe/ (like was just mentioned) So far communicated: increase pricing, reduce staff, focus on performance and reliability and AI (for V10). 2 hours ago, Stephen CM said: Please keep us in touch with your plans, (ideally which allows us to use V 7.14 which puts V 10 to shame) I've also seen Federico comment in the discussion forums that maintaining Legacy is a resource drain from advancing the product more/better. Staff had discussions about turning legacy syncing off for good for the advent of RTE but ultimately decided to keep it going for now. I think the end is nigh for Legacy in so much as syncing to the server is concerned. (But it's been "nigh" for a while too.) It would be nice if they came out at least a few months in advance and said "for sure this is going to be the day when Legacy stops syncing" vs pulling a "Surprise!" one day. 1 Link to comment

0 Stephen CM 5
Thanks for the comments gazumped and Boot17. I am pretty relaxed about legacy versions being retired, but as has been commented on many times here, the newer versions in the past seem to add little required functionality and remove some useful legacy features In my view. Personally I am looking forward to BS's input as the old EN team seem to have forgotten the core functionality of their product. 1 Link to comment
