Cannot assign tag to note occasionally, restarting Evernote helps

Sometimes I cannot assign tags to notes, nothing seems to help except restarting Evernote Mac Desktop app.

Did somebody else experience this?

I have the note open in the normal view and click on the list of tags assigned to the note (bottom of the note) and start typing the first letters of an existing tag, but no list appears. Also I can enter any tag (existing or not), but it is not saved; neither by clicking on it, hitting enter, nor changing the note. Only restarting the app helps.

Not something I've seen. Do the other methods of adding tags work?

1. using the edit tags menu - note 🢂 edit tags or alt+ctrl+T on windows (you will need to convert to Mac)
2. dragging a tag from the sidebar on to the note.

I'll have to check when the issue occurs again; guess I'll try to record it then.

However, seems to be a bug in any case and I shall open a ticket.
