Drag and Drop Import not embedding file and creating duplicate notes

Recommended Posts

Anyone having this issue?

Drag a file from Windows Explorer into empty area inside a Note List.  A note is created using the file name as title.  No embedded file appears.  Sometimes the embedded/attachment filet will appear up as much as a half hour later in a new duplicate note.  If I enter something in the original not that was created with no attachment, a new duplicate note is created for that as well when the attachment does show up in it's own duplicate note mentioned above.

Consistently reproducible with PDF and JPG so far.

So essentially drag and drop note creation is not working.

Please advise.

many of my attachments are winding up in ...Evernote > Failed Uploads > myaccountname

white letters on red background indicates failed attachment

happens to .pdf , .jpg and others

Also getting lots of duplicate notes

I'm afraid to use EN for fear that my good notes will be corrupted.

any idea on what's going on?

ps..  happens on direct drag/drop or via use of Import folder

You may be using an older version of Evernote.  Have you updated to 10.58.8?  If not,  download the installer from Evernote.com

Thanks for the info.

I Had/Have the latest version.

Date/Timestamp on "Failed Uploads" was in a 2 hr window on 6/23/2023 (from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, PDT).  There were 15 such files.

The problem seems to have resolved on it's own (there are no additional entries after this point in time)
