is there a way to close the Note List View?

I did some searches but could not find this discussed. Is this possible? Often, I do not need to see the note list, especially when using the "daytimer" like template. Thank you.

There are two views that do not have a note list.

1. Hit the expand button at the top left of the note view. Then all you see is the note
2. Open the note from a shortcut, recent notes or a suggested note from either search or Ctrl+Q. Then you see the sidebar and the note

As far as I know there is no way of simply switching off the note list view.
