tags move note to trash

When I try to tag a note, the note goes straight to trash. Any help?

For starters--wow, that's weird. Certainly not the expected behavior. A little more detail would be useful: what Evernote client are you using (desktop, mobile, Web, etc.), and on what kind of device? Does this happen with every note and every tag you try, or only one specific tag and/or one specific note or type of note?
