Disable Blue Popup Notifications

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to disable the blue popup notifications in the desktop version?

For example, if I delete a note, I get a popup saying I deleted it. When I empty the trash, I get another popup saying it's been deleted. Sometimes the popup just hangs there instead of disappearing, so I have to click the X to close it.

These popups are unecessary to me and annoying.

Yes. You literally put the blue popups right over the current directory as I am trying to change directories from note to note. Some sensible apps create a special place in the interface for information like this, so constant popups (which I'd rather disable) aren't occluding the working area. This seems like such an obvious thing. Don't occlude the working area with popups. Why so hard?

This. The blue box with notifications is hiding my "notes" button, which might actually be on purpose. Why interrupt the work flow with mandatory notifications about changes that should be seamless? A blue box to call attention to a red badge. (And here I am complaining about it.) What a massive waste of time.

This is the kind of thing that only exists so someone can show clicks to their boss.

Not to sound like the Boomer I'm not, Palm had a policy of enabling users to get to their desired screen in the fewest clicks possible. I liked that.

Hi.  You're a year late to the party and we've had a few new versions since then.  Please confirm your device and OS/ Evernote version numbers and (if possible) please add a screen shot of the offending process.

We're mainly other users here. For a more timely notification please send a request to feedback@evernote.com (you get a 'thankyou' response but nothing further) or raise this with Support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - (be very patient for a response here)

In general: it's far better to send feature requests and minor bug reports via feedback.  With millions of users,  Evernote can't keep individuals in the loop for bug fixes or possible future developments - if and when your issue is resolved it will come as part of a future update. Support is meant for major issues like access and subscriptions.
