Hi.  From what I read (no pun intended) "reader mode" removes lots of web elements from the page - so what you see is a part-processed artificial view.  I doubt Evernote can,  or ever will, clip anything from that environment.  Clipper does have a 'simplified version' option which might help...

When Reader Mode is applied in Chrome, it seems to disable the Evernote Clipper.  Any way to make that work?

I agree it doesn't work which is annoying.

Possible work arounds:

Copy and paste to EN. This should be easy using the global alt+ctrl+V shortcut (paste to EN) but it doesn't seem to work most of the time for me. Even so

  • alt+A,
  • Ctrl+C,
  • Alt+ctrl+N,
  • Ctrl+V

is actually fairly quick. Given that the page is already simplified for reading it can look reasonable, but depends on the specific site (but so does webclipper)

Print to pdf and attach the pdf file - ie save it to your import folder.
