Code highlighting inside Code Block feature

When we will be able to paste already highlighted code into Code Block feature? 

I am extensively using the code block in my notes, but it looks grayish, and really challenging to read code after in any way in any device. 

Or there can be a possibility just turn it on (code highlighting) in Settings? If there is no need for majority of users.

There are no plans announced for this.

You can see suggestions to workaround if you search in these forums.

Otherwise, if this is a key requirement for you then you should use an alternative program.
