Can we request API Keys that can read existing notes but not modify them?

Having write access to notes is scary since the app could delete all your notes. I think this discourages people from creating and trying new evernote integrations

You will need to take this up with the Evernote developers - that's not the users in these forums.  Open a support ticket and ask the question.
