Task widget won't load on Pixel 6 Pro, EN 10.35

I've been trying to get the EN task widget to load. I try a blank home screen, so no space interference. I can get it to an open space on the blank screen, but I can't select "Tasks".. there is no "Done" or "Cancel" option at the top of the widget, like there is if I selected "Notes." Thoughts?

I think that widgets are not working correctly with 10.35. Others are reporting similar issues with other widgets.

I suggest that you submit support ticket.
