Lost notes

I was recently asked to verify my email address but it was an old one, so as directed, I updated my email and verified it. All my existing notes have gone. I've had this account for years with no problems until now. 

Can I get my notes back?

You most likely made a typing error when entering your user name. This (too) easily leads to the creation of a new account, instead of entering the existing one.

Try again, this time make sure you have no typo in the user name.

If this does not help, the typo may have happened when changing your email address. However if you received a confirmation email to the new mail address, this cause can be excluded.
