Search by External Hyperlink Text

Occasionally, I want to know if I saved an external document link "somewhere in Evernote."  Today, I have to go to the likely places to find them and check the hyperlink.  With a feature like this, I could paste in the URI into the search box and find all of the notes that have a link to the external webpage.

So, the general feature request here: add external link references to the searchable text.

You can already do this. However you have to remember that EN searches from the beginning of a text string and not from the middle. So for example when I search for

www.bbc.co.uk

I get no hits. However if I search for

https://www.bbc.co.uk

I get the expected results. The url does have to be in the body of the note - not just hidden away in the "note url".

Also remember that you can filter any particular view for notes that contain a url using the filter menu.

or the search syntax equivalent is

contains:url

So I could be doubly sure I was only going to get my desired notes using

contains:url https://www.bbc
