Mike P 2,981
Evernote does a really good job of recognising words in images. It's advantage over traditional OCR is that it can assign more than one word to each word in the scanned image. This can lead to false positives when searching but hopefully avoids assigning the wrong word and hence not finding the note at all. For example the word "hat" in the image may be recognised as both "hot" and "hat". This will lead to a search for "hot" incorrectly finding the note. However this is better than EN only assigning the incorrect word "hot" and it not finding the note in a search for "hat". In the legacy version you can see how the OCR has been done by downloading the enex file. At the bottom there is a list of the coordinates of the word in the image and the word assigned. In V10 this information is missing. Does anybody know whether the OCR data can be accessed elsewhere within V10? Link to comment
