Notebooks are displayed as "not found" in the app

Recommended Posts

Hello,

on my M1-MacBookPro several notebooks are reported as "not found" in the Macos app.
The notebooks appear in the About list on the left, but as soon as you open one, the message appears.
In the complete overview all notes from these notebooks are available and editable.

Currently, out of 17 notebooks, only 5 are shown as available, and the more I launch the application, the fewer there are.

Switching is to web browser usage, everything is fine, likewise on an Intel MacBook.

The app is currently not usable on the M1-Mac, please fix the bugs asap.

My login is via eMail/password - no Apple or google account

Repeated uninstalling and reinstalling via the app store were unsuccessful.
Also, the application is extremely slow on the M1 Mac compared to the Intel Mac

App-Version:

10.32.4-mac-mas-public (458984)
Editor: V 143.0.17719
Service: V 1.49.2

MacBookPro2021, M1Max, MacOS 12.2.1

Probably you just have a problem with your local data. 10.32 is the first universal version of the Mac app, running native on M1 as on Intel - this speaks as well for an underlying problem. Try this:

  1. Go to the Evernote menu, Preferences, and uncheck „Keep data when leaving“
  2. Log out of EN (File menu), quit EN (cmd-q). When asked confirm "Remove Data from This Device".
  3. If you want to be very sure, restart the Mac
  4. Open EN, log back in, wait for it to run an initial sync.
In addition from my experience it is better to use the direct install from the EN website. The AppStore version has sometimes problems with interaction between apps, like no sharing option.
