pinned note disappears when closing evernote

New to Evernote/pinned note to homepage - but when i pin a note, it instantly disappears and gives me the error 'Pinned note is no longer available' as soon as i leave the app and come back either on the same computer or different device.

Aha, it is an enigma, and to make it one you do not tell anything: Not the computer used, not the OS used, not the client used, not the workflow. Just it does not do what you want it to do.

OK, fine. But don’t expect any answer based on such a complete shortcoming of useful information. We are just other users here and mostly occupied with solving our own mysteries.
