I think many people raised the same request since 10.x release for the feature missed in new version of EN

We need a quick add note function from notification bar just like 8.x. If this cannot be done easily. Can you just add a shortcut button to create note available from the drop down menu as attached??

You could use the provided Add Quick Note widget that is provided already.

I think this will only add an icon to main screen? but this wont be available anywhere when i want to quick jot notes (e.g. when browsing webpage, dont want to go back home screen)

I think the widget is the only option for you. If you want to suggest it to the Devs you can use the feedback option in the app settings.
