You invest a lot of effort, just to „keep things as they have always been“. And you can’t be sure it was all futile with a new software change. I don’t think anybody should waste life time on something a counterproductive. Take checklists as they are. They have a number of advantages over the old checkboxes - and you don’t need to ruin your day working against them. Link to comment
