Clipped pdf downloads to phone every time app is opened

I subscribe to a news letter for dog trainers and clipped a pdf to Evernote. Now every time I open Evernote 10.21 on Android phone the same pdf downloads again (and again and again) to my phone. How do I disrupt this?

Duplicate the note.

Move the original note to the trash, then go to the trash and delete this note again to really make it vanish.

Make sure the new state syncs to the server - mobile clients have a syncing option in settings. Turn off the device, wait a little, turn on again (cleans out memory). 

Try again.

If it still is behaving weird, you could try to log out and back in. But maybe only a complete uninstall will then do the job.
