evernote on mac only opens from command line

When i launch evernote by clicking on the app icon, the evernote menu shows up but no windows appear.  I can quit evernote, that's it.

If i launch it from command line, it works

• open terminal
• cd /Applications/Evernote.app/Contents/MacOS
• ./Evernote

(this only started happening after i rebooted my mac - it was running for a while without reboot - I probably had done an evernote upgrade at some point since the previous reboot)

When it runs, is everything synced ?

You can check on the web client how it looks on the master database on the EN server.

If yes, I would do a complete uninstall. Use the app AppCleaner, and make sure ALL program parts are checked before uninstalling. Then restart the Mac, go to Evernote.com, download the installer and reinstall.

Yes it’s all synced when it does run.  We had tried previously to install on top of the app but I didn’t try a full uninstall…I’ll have to try thst
