graffy 1
I have tried multiple times but keep getting Your code doesn't match what we're expecting when enabling two-step verification with Google Authenticator on Android phone. I have seen a few other forum posts but no resolutions. Any thoughts? Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,115 Posted November 12, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted November 12, 2021 Free user ? Free accounts are limited to receive codes on their phones. There is a bug in the EN documentation of 2FA - they partly tell it just the other way around. If you are on Free, try the SMS code, and maybe give a feedback if it works. Subscribers can decide between SMS codes or any (!) authentication app that produces one-time ciphers. Personally I use Authy, but MS or Google Authenticator work as well, as do the code generators integrated into password managers. Link to comment
graffy 1
Thank you for the response. Yes this is a free account. I see that sms is working when I login now. I guess it wasn't clear to me as I was going through the process that was an option to and the fallback of Google Authenticator. But SMS works fine, thank you 1 Link to comment
