No option to create a template

Hi, I've reviewed documentation to create a template, but the instructions say to click the 3 dots, then select "Save as Template".  I don't have any option like that.  I'm on Evernote Free, is this a feature that's only for the paid version?  Evernote doesn't specify that as a paid feature, please let me know if I'm missing something here.  Thanks
