app link only opens in current window. Open in new window??

I used to be able to choose whether an app link (an internal pointer to an EN note) could open in the same, or in a new window. Now there seems to be no choice - the link only open in the same window.

When I go back to the previous window the context (place within the window) is lost.

Is there a way of getting an app link to open in a new window??

App Links are designed to open in the current window. This puts their behavior in line with that of an Internal Link on the iOS platform. I would suggest using a Web Link to get the behavior you desire.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I was having so much trouble with the Windows App version of Evernote 10, I have switched to using the Web version of Evernote 10 in the Chrome browser. I tried right clicking on an app link in the main browser window and asking it to open in a new tab, and this does not seem to work. The internal/app links have for format "evernote://..." and I believe they provide the best, consistent, experience across the Windows App, browser App, and iOS App platforms.

ctrl - clicking an internal link will open it in a new window.
