Margaret A 1
All of a sudden, I can't use Screen Snap; it's capturing my background image, not the window in front of it that I need to capture. I've tried going into Privacy Settings (this is on a Mac), but Skitch isn't listed, even though it's in my Applications folder. Help! Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,117 Posted July 16, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted July 16, 2021 Why do you post in the iOS subforum ? Any update installed on you Mac recently ? Have you tried to reinstall Skitch ? Preferably from the EN web site, not from the AppStore. Link to comment
Margaret A 1
I'm sorry...I'm not techy and just switched to a Mac about a month ago and am having a hard time with everything. I didn't notice I'd posted in the iOS forum, yikes. I'll try deleting Skitch and adding it back again. I did notice that there were lots of posts about this on the web, and tried the solutions offered. I didn't see Skitch in the Privacy menu. Anyway, thank you. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,117 Posted July 16, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted July 16, 2021 If it has installed correctly, you will find it in the Privacy settings. Apple is pretty strict on these settings, they won’t allow apps to do what THEY want on your Mac without you granting them permission. So if an app feels blocked, these settings should be one of the first places to check. The subforum is relevant to make it easier for other users to find this thread. Link to comment
