hansen 0 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Hi,I get the following error message when I open a note:Note loading errorNote could not be downloaded at this time. Check your network connection and try again. In the notification bar, this error message appears simultaneously:Insufficient storageThere is not enough space on the sdcard to...My network connection is fine (the app syncs just fine) and I have plenty of internal and external storage. The problem started with version 2.I've tried un-installing the app -> deleting the "Evernote" folder on the sd card -> re-installing the app.I've tried moving the app to the sd card.Everything seems to be working just fine except opening notes. When I create a note on my device, I've got no problem opening it.My device is an HTC Desire with Android 2.2.Thanks for your time.
mjuniper 0 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I have precisely the same problem. I noticed it today and I've tried the same things as the op.Things that have changed recently: v2 of Evernote, Droid Incredible update this morning, I started using the windows version of Evernote this morning.
Philip Constantinou 11 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Thanks for the report. Do you mind answering a couple questions:Does this happen on every note or only specific notes?Next time you see the error can you go to Evernote Home Screen -> Settings -> Send Logand email the logs to:android-preview@evernote.com
hansen 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 I've sent the error log.It happens on every note.
mjuniper 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I've sent the log.It happens on every note EXCEPT newly created notes on my android device. If I create a new note on my Incredible I can open it on my Incredible even after clearing the cache.
Philip Constantinou 11 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Thanks, I've got the logs and we'll look into it -- it does seem like we do have a bug. Evernote starts to aggressively clean up the space it uses on the device if there's less than 100MB free on the SD Card. You may want see if you can free up a bit more space. We'll start looking into a fix.
chantoine 0 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Hi,Same error here, with a fresh new Motorola Defy.My SD card as 0,9Gb free...Christophe

charliehill 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 I have this same bug, on latest version of Evernote 2.5.1 revision 118454 on Android 2.2 on Droid 2 Global. It is intermittent (I tried several times earlier today and got the problem, I just tried it again on the same note and the note came through fine. Is a fix coming?
rfullford 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Just adding myself to the list of people with this problem. Device is an HTC Desire running FroYo and Evernote 2.5.1. I don't think it's related to space on the SD card - I have over 6GByte available.
Ah_Fan 23 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 We have a little network issue. But it should be fixed soon. Here is the information: http://forum.evernote.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21423
charliehill 0 Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Thanks for posting the explanation. I just ran a quick test and found my notes generally seem to be loading now, although a bit slowly (multi-second delay for short text notes).
