PDF Viewer shows PDF with missing text?

Hello all,

My team uses EN for some accounts payable tasks. As such we are saving all of our invoices into evernote vendor folders.  I am running into an issue with one of my vendors in particular.  When the PDF invoice is received via email and saved into EN most of the text from the document disappears from the EN viewer.  If we open this PDF standalone, all the information is there. A reprint to PDF comes with the same issue. I have also tried annotating the image, same result.  We are having to physically print and rescan these.

 

Is anyone else having this issue, or have a possible solution? This is on multiple machines running EN premium.

It could be an issue related to renderable text.  I think this happens when the text in the pdf is layered onto a template when the PDF is created.  Adobe would not OCR this type of PDF when I used it a couple of years ago.  I switched to Nitro Pro which does OCR PDFs containing renderable text.  May not be your issue but could be a clue.
