I'm using Evernote 7.14 on macOS. In older versions (like before ~6.1?), images embedded in notes would open in Mac's native 'Preview' image viewer when double-clicked. This was great, since I often need to open many images in a row while reading through a note. Now they open within Evernote by default, hiding the note until EN's in-app preview is X'd out.
I know there is a workaround by right-clicking and doing "Open With", but this is sort of cumbersome. Is it possible to get an option to change the behavior for double-clicked images (choosing which app they open with)?
