Filter excluding tags.

How do I run a search using the exclude tags option on the newest release?

Use negation (-) in the search box        -tag:aaaaaa   -tag:bbbbbbb

That doesn't seem to work. I have a tag for completed items which is !Completed.

I am trying to search within a notebook for items tagged with AAAAAA but excluding items that also tagged with !Completed

I then want to save this as a search, but seems I cannot do this?

This is what I am adding in the search field, then filter by "Notebook" and "Tag"

Can you post the exact search you're using
I don't use notebooks, but this should work     notebook:aaaaaa  tag:AAAAAA  -tag:!Completed

Ok I think I have sorted it now, thank you.

I have created a bit of a mess re saved searches though - do you know how I delete these?

Evernote has never made an easy solution for deleting saved searches
Clicking the query icon in the sidebar gives a list of saved searches
Then, I have to run the saved search and click on ... to get the delete option
                                        

btw  I rarely access saved searches directly
         I assign as shortcuts and just use the shortcut icon in the sidebar
         command 1-9 is a keyboard shortcut  for the first 9 entries
